Wedding of the Year

August 23rd, 2011

Signature Parking was proud to be tapped as the Valet Parking provider for the recent Kim Kardashian Wedding and Reception held  at a private estate in Montecito, CA this past Saturday.  In what was billed as America’s “Wedding of the Year”, and surely one of the most highly anticipated and watched events in recent memory, hundreds of camera toting paparazzi, celebrity seekers, and local residents crowded behind security barricades as helicopters buzzed overhead.  People jostled for a glimpse of the famous attendees which included George Lopez, Vera Wang, Eva Longoria, Mario Lopez, Lindsey Lohan, Serena Williams, Kathy Lee Gifford, Scotty Pippen, Carmelo Anthony, and many more.

For our own part – Signature provided an army of over thirty well groomed and handsome staff members who greeted exclusive invitees and whisked their cars away, while the guests boarded shuttles to the event from the Montecito Country Club parking area.  Later in the evening, our valet crew moved hundreds of guest vehicles from the Country Club to a street near the estate to expedite the delivery of vehicles for the guests departing at the end of the evening.  At the bride’s request, our crew also planted a box of Krispy Kreme donuts, and a Shoedazzle gift card in each guest vehicle as a parting gift.  In the end, the event was a tremendous success thanks not only to our hard working staff, but the hundreds of individuals and talented companies who collaborated on this event.  Thanks again to all of our great Signature Parking employees for another  job well done.

July All-Star

August 10th, 2011

We would like to announce Sam Sobel as Northern California’s July All Star.

Sam has been with Signature Parking for a bit more than two months.  In that time, Sam has made his mark at one of our accounts where management there has recognized him on multiple occasions, complementing Sam on his “sharp appearance and great attitude with customers.”

Sam has been mentioned by other Signature Parking team members as very desirable to work with and “always doing a great job, making our jobs easier and more rewarding.”

Sam is the kind of employee who management loves to have around; it always feels good seeing Sam’s name on the schedule as it’s known that great results will be produced that afternoon or evening.

Mr. Sobel will be returning to school at UC Merced in the next weeks and we are hopeful that he will return for the winter season.

Sam, thank you for your hard work and consistency in delivering a great result.  You are a great asset to the team and we are both happy and lucky to have you here!

Super Safety!

July 21st, 2011

Nick Trainer, our lead valet at Postino in Lafayette, brought Signature Safety to a new level last night.  Nick was making his standard walk-around the lot during his shift when he noticed an orange glow coming from behind a near-by building.  Quick to take action, Nick ran over to investigate what he immediately discovered to be a fire.  Nick alerted the local fire department and police services who were on scene in minutes.  Comments were made that had the fire not been noticed and reported so promptly more damage would have been caused and injuries could have occurred.

Nick was also recently recognized as our All Star for the month of June.  Click here to read more about Nick’s achievements and recognition as one of Signature Parking’s All Stars.

June All-Star

July 21st, 2011

Congratulations to Signature Parking employee Nick Trainer on being named as June’s All Star.

Nick has been with the company for nearly four years.  He has been one of our lead team members at both Ruth’s Chris in Walnut Creek and at Postino in Lafayette.  Additionally, it’s not uncommon for Nick to deliver a great result out at Nordstrom during the holidays, or at Prima during their special wine events.

Nick has been crucial in keeping customer and client satisfaction levels high.  Nick takes it upon himself to individually train new employees at specific accounts, familiarizing them with caution areas, parking solutions, and overall account operating procedures.  He has built a great rapport with client management, and also with the area’s surrounding business leaders.  Nick stands out amongst the Signature Parking team as being one of the most desired guys to work and who is quick to help out when duty calls.  The Signature Parking team is strengthened because of Nick’s role here and we feel lucky to have him on board.

Nick, thank you for your hard work and consistency in delivering great results.  You are a huge asset to the team and your efforts truly make us a better company.

Taste of the Nation Raises $50,000 To Help End Childhood Hunger in Santa Barbara

June 10th, 2011

More than 600 local residents braved the elements and dined on the finest cuisine and libations Santa Barbara has to offer at Share Our Strength’s 4th annual Taste of the Nation®. The event raised over $50,000 to fight childhood hunger locally and nationally. Signature Parking was proud to sponsor this worthy cause by donating a portion of it’s parking management services.

Read more about this event HERE.

About Taste of the Nation

Since 1988, Taste of the Nation has brought together the most creative culinary minds across the nation. Each spring and summer, pioneers of modern American cuisine, national celebrity chefs and mixologists including Stephan Pyles, mixologist Tony Abou-Ganim, Bravo’s Top Chef Tom Collichio, Michael Voltaggio and Celina Tio and thousands more like them donate their time, talent and passion at nearly 40 events across the United States and Canada with one goal in mind: to raise critical funds needed to help end childhood hunger. 100% of ticket sales support Share Our Strength’s efforts to end childhood hunger.

Taste of the Nation’s success is due to the thousands of dedicated volunteers in cities across the United States. These volunteers—chefs, corporate sponsors, marketing and public relations professionals, event planners, financiers and individuals who believe that no child should know hunger– have helped raised more than $75 million for anti-hunger organizations that run or advocate for programs that connect at-risk families with the food they need to thrive. This year, funds raised through Taste of the Nation will support No Kid Hungry™, Share Our Strength’s campaign to end childhood hunger in America by 2015, as well as selected international efforts.
